This south-west facing, single 0.96 plot of vines was planted in 1990 on a steep slope to the east of the village of Saint-Romain towards Auxey-Duresses. The soil is predominantly white marl and limestone with some clay. Hot vintages such as 2023 are perfect for this higher altitude, steep slope appellation where the temperatures are naturally cooler.

Tasting Notes

Lush and textured, intense and vibrant, Pascal has produced a quite stunning wine this vintage. The wet stone minerality on the finish adds to the quenching, mouthwatering nature of this wine.

Vinification

Vinified in 350 litre oak barrels of which only 15% is new.
