This may not be the most renowned of appellations but it is here where the value can be found ! Produced from 45 year old vines planted on clay limestone soils and facing due west, with a breattaking view of the Auxey-Duresses valley. 'Un Petit Volnay' as Pascal Prunier Bonheur says!! What a beautifully constructed wine.
This is an En Primeur wine and special conditions apply.

Domaine Prunier-Bonheur

A delicious compote of ripe, concentrated black fruits, the palate is oozing richness, laden with cassis fruits with a muscly core. The tannins are ripe and yielding but give ample support and the finish continues in a vein of richness and happiness !
Prunier owns 3 parcels of 40-45 year vines totalling 0.5Ha, all with perfect south east exposure and planted on friable, thin and rocky soils. The vineyard sits right beside a major Volnay 1er cru. 20% new oak is used
