Domaine Michel Lafarge

This 10ha domaine produces some of the finest wines in Volnay and has been farmed biodynamically since 1999. It is run by Michel Lafarge and his son Frédéric, who farm their vineyards using biodynamic principles. The Pinot Noir characteristics are show cased brilliantly at this domaine. Very little new oak is used, only around 5%, with barrels between 2 and 5 years preferred. The style is alluring, complex and harmonious and is exactly what one looks for in great Volnay

Tasting Notes

This wine shows tremendous charm and spice, with exotic red fruits, crushed cranberry and cherry with streaks of coffee, kirsch and herbs. This is a powerful Pinot Noir, well-poised, warming and rounded with a velvety texture and precise finish.
