Situated just below the village of Margaux and next to Château Cantemerle, this has long been a very popular château. Since 2000 La Lagune has been in the hands of the talented Jean-Jacques Frey who is producing excellent wines year after year.
Currently in conversion to biodynamic winemaking principles, Lagune displays a big, rich and chunky palate, full of plums, blackcurrants, brambles and truffles. Herbal notes as well as a streak of graphite minerality, with a fragrant freshness providing great balance. The finish is long with earthy forest floor notes.
