A very severe selection for the first wine has resulted in a leap in quality for the second wine at this Château. The grapes for this wine come from the central part of the St Julien commune. A super second wine from a "super second" Classed Growth property.

Tasting Notes

A deep and brooding bouquet with concentrated blackcurrant and plum fruits. This vintage sees the highest ever proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon, providing a firm and sturdy structure. Cassis dominates with undertones of pencil lead and tobacco. A smouldering finish, this is a top wine in 2021.
