Super ripe black fruits, this is simply dripping with ripeness yet there is an excellent balancing freshness and beautifully singing tannins.

Owned by Bruno Von der Heyden and Florence Deguillaume, who have invested heavily in the 54 ha of vines and wine cellars over recent years. The nose expresses a super ripe black fruit intensity, ripe and succulent yet there is an excellent balancing freshness and beautifully singing tannins. This is an impressive wine with a velvety texture that extends right through to the long finish.

Decanter, June 2024, 20 Top Cru Bourgeois Buys, 92 points: “A wonderfully proportioned property with 54ha of vineyards, located south of Margaux. Burly, full-bodied wine with more of a New World rather than Bordeaux character. Plenty of dark berry and plum fruit notes. Fleshy, firm tannin, oak to the fore at the moment, but the components are all there and I suspect this just needs a few more years for a higher score.”
