Cave de Buxy

Established in 1931, the Caves de Vignerons de Buxy is based in the Côte Chalonnaise, 46km south of Beaune. The vineyards are managed by 120 families who are rewarded for the quality of their grapes rather than the quantity that they produce. Strict viticultural guidelines are followed with a programme of continual vineyard assessments. It is very rare that one can equate Burgundy with affordability as well as quality; however this top Cave Co-operative can certainly lay this claim.

This is a deliciously ripe, soft succulent red fruit, pureed raspberry and blackberry, some vanilla oak and a touch of spice, balanced by a fresh ‘lift’ of acidity and long finish. A super every day drinking red Burgundy.
The grapes are 100% de-stemmed after harvest. 25% is aged in both Foudres and barrels, with a use of 1-5yr old French oak barrels. The remaining 75% is fermented in stainless steel tank.
