A very severe selection for the first wine has resulted in a leap in quality for the second wine at this Château. The grapes for this wine come from the central part of the St Julien commune. A super second wine from a "super second" Classed Growth property.

Tasting Notes

A great entry into the Ducru-Beaucaillou range, this wine used to be sold under the Château Lalande-Borie label and always offers trmendous value for money. A delicious, creamy, plum filled wine, medium bodied, soft and succulent with a lovely compact style. The oak is subtle and there is a tad a spice on the finish.

Food Matches

Delicious with rare roast beef with seasonal vegetables and yorkshire pudding.

Vinification

Aged for 12 months in oak barrels.
