This Château is the finest producer in Listrac, one of the six appellations of the Haut-Médoc. Purchased in 2006 by two brothers, Laurent and Renaud Mommeja, members of the Hermès luxury-goods family, the 47 hectares of vines are planted on clay and limestone, as well as a gravel plot nearby hamlet in Fourcas.
October 2023: Awarded 92 points by Decanter, this wine is 'highly recommended'. 'Lovely floral elements of wildflowers, blackberry fruit and sweet chocolate. Smooth and supple, purity and clarity with balancing acidity. Lean almost, in the sleekness of the tannins, but the fruit is fresh and gently chewy with more blueberry than dark fruit and lots of wet stone minerality. Carries its power excellently- lots of finesse on show. Good to drink now and age further.
