This is a big wine! Fresh on first approach, with an intriguing mix of ripe red and black fruits, a lovely immediate bouquet that is both appealing and sweetly ripe. The palate is succulent, open and quite lush, but the wines develops, tightens and turns more complex and backward as the wine opens, showing firm tannins and a lovely ripe sweetness in equal measure. Oak is very evident, but in tune with the sheer weight of the wine.
