Son of Jean-Max Roger whose 34ha domaine in the village of Bué, just south-west of town of Sancerre, is renowned for its production of high quality, Sancerre, Menetou-Salon and Pouilly Fumé. A superbly moreish wine, full of soft juicy summer fruit flavours with a little touch of sweet red berry coulis on the finish.
A great wine for BBQs!
The Cinsault grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness, 100% destemmed and thereafter are divided into two sections. One passes the modern process of flash-detente and hot skin contact maceration. After that, the juice goes through cool temperature fermentation. This procedure is carried out in order to extract and enhance the Cinsaults’ aromatic qualities. The other part of the grapes is traditionally fermented on the skin for about 2 days adding structure and a soft pink colour to the wine. At the end of the winemaking process both the modern and the traditional section of each variety are blended to a youthful and easy drinking Cuvée.

Jancis Robinson, August 2023, 15 points: ''Pale pink and a little ordinary on the nose. But it's a charming little wine with plenty of strawberry fruit. A little bit of residual-sugar sweetness but it has been well-judged and the wine is balanced and fresh. The kind of wine that would go well with a slightly spicy pulled-pork bun.''
