The history of Viña Luis Felipe Edwards (LFE) dates back to 1976, when Luis Felipe Edwards Sr. purchased the Fundo San José de Puquillay estate, located in the Colchagua Valley, a premier viticultural region in Chile. The estate sits nestled in a secluded horseshoe-shaped valley, separated from the majestic snow-capped Andes by the smaller San Fernando ridge. Intense and bright ruby red in colour. The wine reveals aromas of plum and dark cherry, combined with spiced and toasted notes from oak barrel ageing. On the palate, the wine is weighty with firm tannins and the finish reveals dark fruit, coffee and light vanilla flavours. This is a wine with great character and body.
An ideal accompaniment to grilled meat, salmon and pork ribs.
Aged in oak barrels.
