Doppler Winery

The Doppler Winery is onto its 3rd generation and is situated in the ‘up-and-coming’ Styria wine-growing region in the north eastern end of Slovenia, 360 metres above sea level. They are a leading producer in the new and exciting scene full of orange wine, pét-nat and other low intervention styles. Their journey began in 1815 with Admont Benedictine's first vine planting. An appealing ruby colour with slight orange hue. Aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant and tobacco leaves. On the palate black berry, red and black cherry with an undertone of cocoa and dark chocolate.
Drink with barbequed dishes or a roasted duck breast
Fermented in stainless steel with 15 days skin contact. The wine is racked in 225L old oak barrels and aged on fine lees for 24 months.
