A Saint Emilion Grand Cru, this classic Bordeaux is a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon aged in oak barrells for at least 12 months. Selected from the very best of the Union’s crops, Galius is the flagship of UdP Saint-Emilion as it is renowned for its stellar quality.

Union de Producteurs de Saint-Emilion

Since its formation in the 1930s, the Saint-Emilion Producers’ Union has greatly evolved. From a group of six founding winemakers, the Union has expanded to welcome a further 164 growers. The Union aims to pool the resources of wine-producers in terms of production and the marketing of their stock. Château Paran Justic is situated in Saint Etienne de Lisse, at the bottom of the slopes down to Château de Pressac. This vineyard benefits from very good exposure to the south. The owner, Mr Boutros-Toni decided a few years ago to farm his vineyard in an enviromentally friendly way.
Silky smoothness with lovely ripe tannins, elegant red fruit and wonderful length.
Serve at room temperature. This is a perfect partner for red meat, especially roast leg of lamb, although it makes a good match for roast poultrY or moderately mature cheeses.
Harvesting plot by plot and variety by variety. 100% gravity-transferred and fermented in stainless steel after a pre ferment maceration of one week. Pressed vertically for a very soft extraction. 14 - 18 months in French oak (50% new oak)
