Greco is an Italian wine grape, the name relating to both white (Greco bianco) and black (Greco nero) wine grape varieties. While there is more land planted with Greco nero, it is the Greco bianco that is most commonly referred to as "Greco". The vast majority of the world's Greco Bianco vines are situated in both Campania, where the dry white Greco di Tufo is made, and in Calabria, Greco di Bianco. Possessing excellent acidity and a fresh, clean, grapey flavour, Greco wines are best consumed young.
