Black Muscat (or Muscat of Hamburg) is a red grape variety derived from the crossing of the Schiava Grossa and Muscat of Alexandria. It comes only in the black berried form producing plump shiny fruit. This grape is grown chiefly as a table grape but can be also used to produce wine. As a dessert wine it can be highly aromatic with a rich colouring.
