One of Portugal’s most famous wine regions, Dão is located in almost the exact centre of Portugal, and though it is not as prominent as the Douro valley to the north, wine from Dão has increased in popularity, with new production methods making better, more flavourful wines in recent years, and making Dão wines some of the most widely praised in Europe.
