Chile’s Leyda Valley, barely 8 miles from the Pacific Ocean, is ideal for growing grapes such as Pinot Noir, Sauvignon and Chardonnay. The ocean breeze, which blows in from the west,cool down the vineyards and also help cleanse them of anything which may damage the grapes – a key feature in Chile’s resistance to Phylloxera. Wines from the Leyda are often fresh, fruity and cool, with a rich, smooth texture.
