The GlenAllachie was the 4th distillery designed by William Delme-Evans and built by Mackinlay McPherson. It began its first production run in 1968. In 2017 it was acquired by Billy Walker alongside his business partners Trisha Savage and Graham Stevenson. Just 9 months after taking ownership their first core malts were launched marking the first ever range of single malts to be released by the distillery.
Aromas of dark cherries, golden syrup and sweet spices to the fore, with hints of toffee, glazed figs and hazelnuts. GlenAllachies heather honey hallmark on the palate, alongside orange peel, cocoa and ginger, with caramelised brown sugar on the finish.
