Feteasca Neagra (name meaning Black Maiden) is a dark-skinned grape variety native to the Republic of Moldova and Romania. Over time, the vines in Moldova have diminished  leaving the majority, approximately 90% in Romania. It is considered to make some of the top red Romanian wines and is likely to make an appearance elsewhere in the world as winemakers are attracted to its resistance to both cold temperatures and drought alike. A thick skinned varietal, offering bags of soft fruit and balancing tannins – Aromas of violets, cherry and tobacco on the nose with a warming palate of red berries, dark cherries and plums.
Unoaked and fermented in stainless steel maintaining varietal personality and freshness
