Type: Red Wine
Country: France
Region: Burgundy
Code: ALOX115
Produced from four separate parcels totaling 2ha, all on the southern and western slopes of the daunting Corton Hill. Natalie picked all her Aloxe plots on the 8th and 9th of September, as the heat rose in the vineyards near Pernand-Vergelesses. Often this can be a deep, firm, slightly angular wine, but in 2023 the winds came from the warmer westerly direction, which enabled the fruit sugar to rise and the grapes filled.
This is an En Primeur wine and special conditions apply.

Domaine Tollot-Beaut

Domaine Tollot-Beaut was one of the first domaine to bottle its own wines back in 1921 when most growers simply sold their wines to the local negociants, and it has retained its ground breaking ethos to the present day. Under the meticulous control of Natalie Tollot, 5th generation, the domaine currently comprises some 24 hectares of vines, spread over a number of different sites in Beaune, Savigny-lès-Beaune<...

It is perfumed, fragrant and wonderfully inviting. Deep and lush offering Crème de Mure, cherry and raspberry, layered with exotic sweet spice, vanilla and encased in plush tannins. The freshness is very evident – the perfect balance to the sweet ripe fruit.
The fruit is de-stemmed and lightly pressed before fermentation. Aged in 25% new oak.
