Established in 1906, House of Townend is a family-owned, family-run and independent wine merchant that has remained in the ownership of the Townend family for over 100 years. Today it is led by 4^th generation John Charles Townend.

House of Townend prides itself on its service. And great service can only be achieved with a great team. Today, our team is over 60 strong with many long- serving core staff, some of whom have been with the company for over 25 years.

At House of Townend, we make it easy for our staff to work together across every aspect of the business. Because of this, whatever specific role our team members may play, they are able to provide a vast bank of knowledge and experience to help you in any way possible.

Whether helping our customers with their wine lists, at tasting events, or in our Cellar Door shop, it is crucial for us to provide friendly and honest advice. We also appreciate that the wine world can be an intimidating one and not everyone has the same level of knowledge so our staff will always provide the right advice to suit all levels.
